The September Edition of Ambrose Alli University prayer programme, “AAU Prays” was held on Thursday, 1st September, 2016 in the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Auditorium at 9.30 a.m.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ignatius A. Onimawo said it is clear that the prayers of the University are working and God is answering. He said that for the first time in many years, the final graduation and 2nd Semester examinations of the University have been held without wild jubilations, fighting or any negative incidents. He added that the conduct of the examinations went so peacefully that it wasn’t even noticed that final examinations were going on. He enjoined members of staff to continue in prayers for the achievement of the vision of the University.
The Vice-Chancellor reminded the University of the Prayer Declarations made at the Campus main gate during the was held the previous week. He said the declarations were made based on the inspiration of the Spirit of God, and that every planting of evil and every work of darkness from the gate of the University to the farthest end have been neutralized and dethroned.
In his exhortation, the guest minister, Pastor Charles Osazuwa, the General Overseer of Rock of Ages Christian Assembly, Benin City, said, if there were any reminants of evil in the University, it would be completely expelled out that day. He gave thanks to God that the problems of the University were already solved because when the leadership of any organization is working with God, no evil can stop the progress of the organization.
The guest minister taught that there are principles that must be applied for the achievement of the vision of this University. Firstly, everyone in the University should develop the right mind set. He said, the right mind set will lead to kingdom character and kingdom power.
Secondly, every person in this University must begin to speak the vision because what you have in your heart with your mind set would be concretized as you continue to say it.
Thirdly engage in proper association. He said that those running with the vision should not accommodate doubt or betrayal.
He added that, the Spirit of Cultism has been destroyed in this University. He said that every student that dies through cultism has led to the death of a generation of scientists, doctors, architects, etc. inside of him.
He ended by declaring “Our Case is Settled”.
The opening prayers were said by Pastor Dr. (Mrs.) Dora Akahomen, while the intercessory prayers were said by Pastor Theophilus Agueda and the closing prayers and Prophetic declarations were handled by Bro. Peter Ibhawaegbele. The programme was coordinated by Rev. Innocent Ebbih and the prayers ended at 10.30 a.m.
It was a glorious hour in God’s presence.
The next edition of Ambrose Alli University Prays will hold on the first Thursday of October, i.e. Thursday, 6th October, 2016.
