The overwhelming impact of democracy in any polity cannot be overemphasized. In its bid to further the awareness, participation and constructive input of the citizenry in democratic governance, the institute for Governance and Development (IGD), Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma is calling for well researched articles to be published in its journal – International Journal of Governance and Development. The theme of the journal is Democracy and Development in Nigeria.
Members of the University community, the graduands of the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 academic sessions in particular and the general public are hereby informed that the 19th Convocation ceremony of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has been scheduled to hold as follows:
This is to inform all admitted candidates that the processing of admissions for 2014/2015 academic session, which commenced on Monday, 8th September 2014, will end on Friday, 28th November 2014.
Consequently, any admitted candidate who fails to pay his/her acceptance fee, tuition fee and concessional fee on or before Friday, 28th November, 2014, would pay a late penalty fee of N5,000.00 (five thousand naira only). Thereafter, any defaulting candidate will be deemed to have voluntarily forfeited his/her admission and will have his/her admission withdrawn.
This is to inform the University community and the general public that Senate at its 277th regular meeting held on Thursday, 31st July, 2014 considered and approved the modification of the name of the department of “Geography and Regional Planning” to the Department of Geography and Environmental Management with “GEM” as course description and code.
INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT
In pursuance of its mandate for promoting research and academic excellence, the Institute for Governance and Development is organising a journal publication in the fourth quarter of 2014. Scholarly articles are invited from the academic community and other public and private organizations. The Theme of the Journal is DEMOCRACY AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
The Directorate of Foundation runs a two semester programme aimed at preparing candidates who could not gain admission into the University through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), but possess the minimum entry requirements, for admission into 100 Level in their respective courses.
