The Authorities of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has appointed a new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). He is Prof. Oziegbe Monday Aigbokhaevbolo, a Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences. The appointment which takes effect from Thursday, 26th May, 2016 is for a term of two (2) years.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. I.A. Onimawo on Tuesday, 7th June, 2016 declared open the Workshop of Training the Trainers organized by Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA) based in South Africa. This is in fulfillment of the desire to promote and enrich academic research in this University.
Welcoming the Facilitators and other participants, the Vice-Chancellor requested them to take the training workshop seriously as they were expected to share the experience acquired with others in their various Departments and Faculties which is the essence of the training. He was very impressed with the turnout of participants which indicated their zeal and preparedness for the training workshop. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the need for intensive research in every citadel of learning as it broadens the horizon of Resource Persons as well as place the University in better ranking among the comity of Universities. He challenged the staff of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the University on the need to ensure the workability of the University’s Web site before the end of the month of June, 2016. He assured that things would not remain as usual as his dream for the University was to make it one of the best 10 Universities in the country. “It will give us the type of acceptance we needed now”, he concluded.
Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has appointed a substantive Bursar. He is Mr. Lawrence Okekhigbemen Esene. Until his appointment as the substantive Bursar of the University, Mr. Esene was the Chief Accountant in charge of the Treasury Services Division of the Bursary Department.
The Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has appointed a substantive Registrar. He is Chris Majebi Adamaigbo, KSC. Until his appointment as the substantive Registrar of the University, Sir Adamaigbo was the Public Relations Officer of the University before he was posted as Secretary, School of Post Graduate Studies on 2nd March, 2016.
The Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa (ITOCA), Cornell University’s Albert R. Mann Library, South Africa, in conjunction with the University Main Library, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria is organizing a training/workshop on the practical usage of online and off-line electronic databases for quality and effectiveness of research and education in health, agriculture, environment and biological sciences.
