The current administration of Prof. A. S. Adagbonyin is poised at repositioning the University. One of the key repositioning strategies of his administration is the enhancement of the career prospects of our students. Consequently, the entire student community of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma is hereby informed that in line with best practices, the Edo State Skills Development Agency is organizing a free training programme aimed at enhancing future career prospects of potential graduates of the University.
This programme is initiated and supported by the administration of Gov. Godwin Obaseki to promote and enhance the employability and requisite skills of our students. It is therefore imperative that students take full advantage of this rare opportunity with utmost enthusiasm.
This training will enable the students develop the needed skills and commitment to be advocates in their respective chosen careers. The major areas where the training programme will focus on include the following:
-Employability skills -workshop
-Emotional Intelligence and Teamwork
-Effective Communication
-Creativity, Critical thinking and Problem Solving
-Personal Effectiveness and Time Management
The requirements for this training include the following:
-The student must be between the ages of 18 and 35 Years
-An Android phone or similar device that can interface with the internet
The expected benefits by the students include:
-They will become job ready and fit to work in any organization.
-They will have access to internships/apprenticeship and paid jobs opportunities.
-They will obtain widely recognized soft skill certificates for free.
-They will master career growth skills needed by global employers.
-They will have access to career counselling and guidance by Job counselors at the Job Centre.
-They will have access to other training opportunities organized by EdoJobs.
The programme is now scheduled to commence from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th January, 2023, at the international Conference/Student Centre by 9am each day.
