Vice Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the University. He is also the Chairman of the Senate. He is vested by law with the general function, in addition to any other specific functions conferred on him or otherwise, of directing the activities of the University. The Vice-Chancellor presides at meetings of the Congregation and of the Convocation. He is also responsible for student discipline; and acts in this respect through the Students’ Disciplinary Committee. Students also participate fully in the deliberations of the Committee through their own representatives on it.
