Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers the following degree programmes;

  • Biology Education
  • Chemistry Education
  • Computer Science Education
  • Integrated Science Education

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

 B. Sc (Ed) Computer Science – Five Years Programme
Candidates for admission shall possess at least five credits in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, in at most two sittings. This should include credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and on of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Economics.

B.Sc (Ed) Integrated Science – Five Years Programme
Candidates for admission shall possess at least five credits in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, not more than two sittings. This should include credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography or Economics.

B.Sc (Ed) Mathematics – 5 Years Programme
Candidates for admission shall possess at least five (5) credits in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, in at most two sittings. This should include credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other science subject.

B.Sc (Ed) Mathematics – 4 Years Programme
Candidates for admission shall possess at least five (5) credits in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent, in at most two sittings. This should include credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other science subject.

B. Sc (Ed) Social Studies Five Years Programme
(i)    Admission into the five year B. Sc. Ed. Degree in Social Studies is through UME. The required Joint Matriculation Examination Subjects are:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics and
  • Two Social Science subjects.

(ii)  The student must also have at least five O’Level credit passes in GCE, WASC, SSCE, NECO, TC II, which should include English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings.
