FAKE POST BY NAIRALAND NEWS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

My attention has been drawn to a post in the social media by Nairaland news phxfeeds.com titled – ‘More Facts About Obaseki Certificate Scandal – Education – Nairaland.’

They alleged that I, Prof. I.A. Onimawo, granted an interview in which I said Obaseki’s certificate from UI was fake, that I graduated in 1977 from UI and that the Alumni Association of UI are aware of this.

I come out openly to denounce, debunk and condemn the post. The information touted in the post are most untrue, libellous and wicked.

I did not at any time grant any interview in this regard. I graduated from UI in 1982 and not 1977 as the fabricated story claimed in the post. I hereby totally refute and debunk the allegations.

Appropriate investigations are being carried out to find out the author(s) of this wicked lie and to bring them to book.

The post should therefore be immediately discountenanced as it is baseless and without any foundation.
