Earlier today the 2nd of July 2021, the organizers of the Face of AAU 2021 led by the Students’ Union Director of Socials, Comr. Enuma Matthew with the various contestants visited the Acting Vice Chancellor of the prestigious institution, Ambrose Alli University Prof. O.B Osadolor and his management team at the University conference hall. The organizers of the event who said they came to familiarize with the vice Chancellor of the university, disclose the activities and agenda of the pageantry (Face of AAU) as well as the need to prioritize social activities in the institution, also solicited for the support of the management to enable them realize their plans and the success of their activities from time to time.
The vice Chancellor who took the floor after the organizers of the event spoke extensively on their activities, commended the effort of the group so far in making sure the image of the university is represented in the outside world in terms of social cultural activities.
According to Prof. O.B Osadolor, the performances of Ambrose Alli University in terms of social activities have been so encouraging and overwhelming. Recently, Ambrose Alli won the state Karate championship and also won the first position in the football competition organized at the University of Benin between AAU football Team and the Uniben football Team. These activities have contributed to the good image of the institution directly or indirectly hence, every reasonable human being would find cause to patronize and support these activities. In as much as we place premium on academic activities in the university, we must also prioritize social activities ~VC added
The Vice Chancellor who admires the beauty of every contestants of the face of AAU 2021 as he had a handshake with them, also admonished them to let these talents they have displayed so far reflect in their academic activities
During the vice Chancellor’s speech, he promised the organizers of the Face of AAU 2021 that he would add tokens to the stipulated prize of every winners of the pageantry which the organizers and all the contestants with a clapping ovation applauded the vice Chancellor in return
At the end of the meeting which lasted for some hours, the Acting Vice Chancellor and his team took a group photograph with the organizers and the contestants.
